On the occasion of Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, Toto unveils the complete transformation of its London showroom, located on St John Street, in the heart of the Clerkenwell design district. Opened in 2010, the space has been entirely rethought to become an immersive venue where Japanese know-how, technological innovation and a sensory approach are combined in a particularly careful setting. Designed by the practice Mach Architektur, the showroom goes far beyond the logic of product display. Conceived as an architectural journey, it links two complementary worlds: a space dedicated to collections adapted to the European market, and a “global” section presenting international ranges never before seen in the United Kingdom, among them the Neorest equipment or the colourful Scene of Four Seasons basins. The project also gives a central place to materials and sensory experience. Yoshino cedar veneer from sustainably managed forests, terrazzo made from recycled sanitary ceramics, staged lighting and a Japanese garden inspired by karesansui compose a soothing atmosphere in which the bathroom is seen as a genuine space of well-being. On the lower level, several experience rooms developed by Squire & Partners offer three moods – Clay, Timber and Stone – combining textures, scents and acoustics. A technology area dedicated to Washlet systems as well as an in-depth reflection on inclusive design complete this flagship, designed as much as a design destination as a place of exchange for London architects.
