Quick-Step launches Impressive Designs, a water-resistant herringbone laminate

Quick-Step flooring manufacturer presents Impressive Designs, a collection of herringbone laminate floors that combines technical innovation with the aesthetics of wood. Introduced as the first range of 100% waterproof chevron laminates, it is based on the patented Unizip technology, which allows the pattern to be created using a single plank for faster installation and reduced material waste. Offered in a 655 × 131 mm format, this flooring comes in six oak-inspired shades – ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, cumin and carbon – ranging from light blond tones to deep browns. The designs feature a natural grain, pronounced pores and a fine bevel, contributing to a visual result close to real parquet flooring.

On a technical level, the combination of the Unizip system, pressed bevel edges and Hydroseal coating prevents water from penetrating the surface, allowing installation in wet rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms. The locking system also reduces micro-movements responsible for creaking, ensuring a more stable and quieter floor from the moment it is installed. Manufactured in Belgium, the Impressive Designs collection also reflects strong environmental commitments: it is made of 80% wood, uses an HDF core made from 100% recovered wood, and is part of a recycling process that enables old floors to be transformed into new products. Available in an 8 mm thickness, it is compatible with other Impressive collections from the brand.
