The new concept of Maisons du Monde, designed by the Lonsdale agency, transforms the customer experience in shopping malls with clear, intuitive circulation, moving away from the traditional serpentine layout. Central low tables and tall peripheral furniture facilitate orientation while enhancing product visibility.
The layout relies on color codes and themed displays to segment collections and encourage spontaneous purchases. Areas dedicated to “favorites” and gifts cater to visitors looking for inspiration.
Materials play a key role in the sensory experience: light wood adds warmth and authenticity, mineral surfaces in natural tones create a contemporary aesthetic, varied textures and textiles provide comfort, and subtle metallic touches bring modernity.
The concept also strengthens the service dimension: advice areas equipped with digital tools, connected tablets, omnichannel integration, and a click & collect point simplify access to online products.
Overall, the project balances functionality, flexibility, and aesthetics, while staying true to Maisons du Monde’s mantra: to inspire and create unique living spaces.
