Through three major projects, the refurbished office furniture specialist demonstrates the relevance of a circular approach, both in terms of responsible commitment and coherent architectural design.

One year after its acquisition by Younes El Hajjami and Cédric Meston, Bluedigo confirms its unique position in the office design landscape. The company, a pioneer in refurbished office furniture and operator of the first marketplace dedicated to the circular economy in office design, demonstrates with three major projects – Groupe Bayard, France Renouvelables, and France Télévisions – that it is possible to reconcile identity, aesthetics, user comfort, and environmental impact. Having supported more than 2,500 companies since 2019, Bluedigo is now building, project after project, a truly circular architectural style, where reused furniture, responsible materials, and customized layouts become the foundations of a new way of envisioning the office.

A Responsible Approach

For each of the three projects, the teams at Studio Bluedigo, led by Martin Hallégouët, worked from the existing environment, its uses, and the specific values of each organization. Furniture becomes a narrative tool, colors an element of cohesion, and materials a physical expression of social commitments. This approach is based on a demanding circular economy model, where reuse, repair, destocking, and eco-design form a complete ecosystem. But beyond responsible action, Bluedigo reinvents the aesthetic codes of the sustainable office, moving beyond compromise by creating coherent, elegant spaces characteristic of interior designers. These three projects together prevented the extraction of more than three tons of raw materials and the emission of more than 15 tons of CO2, illustrating the value of a differently conceived design approach.

Bayard Group: A Signature Headquarters

In Malakoff, the Bayard Group is opening a new chapter with 7,500 m² of completely redesigned space. The reception, meeting, and social areas were designed by Bluedigo in collaboration with the Parella firm. The agency conceived a layout where color becomes a spatial marker, a graphic reference point, and a unifying thread. Each floor features a color emblematic of the company (blue, gray, yellow, green), while navy blue – the brand's signature – serves as a chromatic pivot and structures the building's vertical layout. The furnishings alternate between repurposed pieces (Mimka, Les Résilientes, Buronomic, TipToe, Cartel de Belleville) and eco-designed furniture (Camif, Gatti), assembled as a cohesive collection. The side tables made from recycled books by Les Résilientes reinterpret the group's publishing heritage. The custom-made banquettes by Studio Bluedigo, crafted by Casual Home & Contract, offer both comfort and flexibility. The project's highlight is the Agora, a space located on the top floor, conceived as a panoramic lounge opening onto a rooftop terrace. Modular, welcoming, and conducive to gatherings, it offers a multitude of uses – for meetings, lunches, and alternative work – in a luminous atmosphere where textures, materials, and colors reflect the signature Bayard style. Thanks to this large-scale project, 683 kg of raw materials and nearly three tons of CO2 emissions were saved. Tangible proof that sustainability can go hand in hand with elegance and comfort.

France Renouvelables: Rethinking Uses Through Circularity

Impressed by the quality of Bluedigo's work, France Renouvelables commissioned the studio to reconfigure its offices with a clear objective: to improve comfort, optimize workflow, and integrate the design into a responsible approach. Here, circularity is not a pretext, but a method. Martin Hallégouët worked from the existing structure, reusing the existing partitions to redesign the spaces without demolition. Circulation is streamlined, workspaces reconfigured, and shared spaces redesigned to support the evolving teams. The furniture reflects the project's ambition: Alto desks by Buronomic and Makiba sit-stand workstations to combine ergonomics and sustainability; Kave Home seating from clearance stock for the meeting rooms; TipToe tables and refurbished Eurosit chairs; a Camif sofa and vintage furniture for the reception area. The result is a cohesive, colorful, warm, and functional space where texture, materials, and light transform the perception of space. The new lockers, arches, and bookcases serve a dual purpose: organizing and staging, thus creating a rhythm across the floor. This circular approach avoids the use of 160 kg of raw materials and the emission of 836 kg of CO2, while simultaneously creating a more fluid, comfortable, and pleasant environment.

France Télévisions: A Green Oasis in the Heart of Paris

To support the consolidation of 15 sites into five hubs on its Parisian campus, France Télévisions entrusted Studio Bluedigo with the design of its informal spaces: lobbies, cafeterias, common rooms, and meeting rooms. The studio conceived a visual identity based on greenery, playing with a palette of greens, natural materials, and furniture that blends secondhand and eco-design elements. This ambiance softens the sometimes imposing volumes of the building, while creating a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors. Among the iconic pieces selected are the Guinguette tables by Formelab, the Clavex tables by Maximum, chairs sourced and restored by Chaises au Carré, and a Paper Mint wall mural printed in the 19th arrondissement. The overall coherence relies on meticulous work with color schemes, materials, and textures, playing on the contrasts between raw and natural elements, metal and textiles, natural light and focused lighting. The spaces become places for rest, exchange, and relaxation, essential on a site of this size. Here again, the environmental impact is measurable: 2,242 kg of raw materials and 11,363 kg of CO2 avoided. A demonstration of the effectiveness of a design based on short supply chains and reuse.

A New Aesthetic for the Sustainable Office

With these three projects, Bluedigo confirms a fundamental truth: sustainable design is not limited to reducing environmental impact. It paves the way for a new way of imagining offices, where reuse becomes a creative act and materials tell a story. These projects mark a significant evolution in office spaces towards a circular, pleasant, cohesive workspace that perfectly meets the contemporary expectations of employees.
