ArianeGroup has inaugurated its new Parisian offices, a 3,000 m² space bringing together the 330 employees of ArianeGroup, Arianespace, and MaiaSpace in a single ecosystem. To create this unifying space, the group called upon Sowen, which orchestrated a design project in record time – two months of planning, four months of construction – while maintaining high standards for well-being, flexibility, and sustainability.
The project addresses a clear challenge: to design stimulating, ergonomic, and agile offices capable of embodying the identity of a major player in space transportation. The result is a work environment where acoustics, lighting, privacy, and ergonomics provide a solid foundation for the teams' daily work. Far from being a static office, the space is designed as an adaptable tool, capable of evolving in step with projects and needs. ArianeGroup's values are expressed in a scenography that unites its three entities, telling a single story: that of a group focused on innovation, cooperation, and leadership. To structure this new world, Sowen made a bold choice: anchoring the design in the symbolism of the four elements, a nod to the space universe while asserting a coherent identity. Fire permeates certain spaces through cladding and textures evoking propulsion, energy, and the power of engines; water brings fluidity and freshness, with mirrored surfaces and bluish hues reminiscent of the ocean and movement; air is embodied in the generous circulation and transparent volumes, creating a sense of freedom and agility; and finally, earth provides grounding and softness through natural materials, wood, and vegetation, which create a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything blends together into a harmonious, clear, and conducive environment, ideal for both concentration and collaboration. Eco-design is also central to the project: second-hand furniture, responsible materials, and choices aligned with strict CSR commitments. Nothing has been left to chance, from acoustic solutions to features that enhance everyday comfort. The space thus becomes a showcase for ArianeGroup's sustainable strategy.
More than just a renovation, this new space reflects the group's ambition: to offer a stimulating, creative, and responsible work environment, capable of bringing together talent and supporting its innovation drive. Here, ergonomics, sustainability, and team cohesion combine to create an environment conducive to exploring new horizons.
