Ten minutes from Quimper, the Manoir de Kerhuel, a 4-star hotel and restaurant hosting weddings and seminars, has undertaken the renovation of the parquet flooring in its wedding hall and adjoining bar. This represents 150 square meters of exotic hardwood flooring, heavily marked by wear and tear and repeated impacts from furniture. "We had one week to give it a facelift, during the hotel's closure, and we absolutely had to meet that deadline," explains Fabien Botquelen, manager of EURL Botquelen. The project involved mechanical sanding in three passes (40, 60, and 100 grit), followed by the application of a Prim'so hard primer, and then two coats of Pur-T3 Duo varnish with a matte finish. A light sanding with 150 grit sandpaper was carried out between each coat. In four days, the team restored the surface's legibility and uniformity, while ensuring durability suited to the high-traffic conditions of an event venue.
